Froh! #2 “Still” / Winter 2009
FROH! #2 “Still”: In a sense, a magazine can only be something to read or look at. You flip through it and drink it all in. But if you are very still and press your ear to the page, you might hear voices recounting stories, and places whirring far away.
Our winter issue has become a very quiet one – an issue asking you to become quiet yourself, so won’t miss a thing. This issue features photography, illustrations and texts from Daniel Amornvuttkul, Michael Basseler, Florian Blaschke, Tetsu Fukuyama, Aexander Görsdorf, Friederike Gralle, Tom André Håland, Uli Knörzer, Severin Koller, Mark Leonard, Friedhelm Mennekes, Franca Neuburg, Susanne Niemeyer, Engelbert Reineke, Simone Rüth, Oliver Schneider, Sebastian Schulke, Christoph Schwyzer, Jochen Speck, Michail Stamm, Elvira Stein, Jens Tönnesmann, Donata Wenders, Sarah Wiesmann und Volker Wortmann.
Facts & Figures
Mission Statement: FROH! is a magazine taking up special events in the course of every year and exploring the questions and topics they imply – always creative, always curious. The magazine is given the articles, photos and images by their various contributors, just as the readers are given the chance to catch a fresh and surprising perspective on the ideas at hand. With attentiveness and care FROH! seeks to create a well-composed selection of contributions from culture, society, Christian spirituality and holistic lifestyles, resulting in a high-quality magazine with excellent design. Our desire is for our name to be our motto (froh = German ‘glad’).
